The house beside the seaside

They bought a house
tall
white
and narrow
detached
with all the others
looking just the same

With door bells
spiral staircase
and bird nest
on the roof

The cosy attic bedroom
was reserved for their
unborn daughter
they dreamt to name
her Isadora

So they made little wooden bed
and carved her name on one of sides
and filled the chest of drawers
full of little cotton shirts for her

And in the garden
they put
old rocking chair
and scattered
shells and corals
all around

Beside the seaside
house
is ready
and they are waiting
till one of them
starts
getting swell
