High above the sky
A single soul takes flight.
It roams through stars and galaxies,
It chases meteor rains.
It searches for another,
Someone as lost as itself.
It’s lonely and sad,
It’s old and pathetic.
But it can’t help but hope,
That it’s search won’t be in vain.
It dares to believe,
That everything will be okay.
What an admirable soul this is,
Searching far into the abyss.
I’d hope to borrow some of it’s strength,
If I had anything to do with it.
But sadly there’s nothing,
For me to achieve,
No goal in sight,
No loving dreams.
It’s me and the void,
My very best friend.
Waiting for something
To change in the end.
