Alex North (1910-1991) the composer gave us one of the greatest melodies that will last eternal. Hy Zaret (1907-2007) the lyricist gave us words that will stand the test of time. Together they have created one of the worlds most memorable songs that will last an eternity. This was the theme song, and soundtrack for the 1955 film 'Unchained.' It also was the theme song and soundtrack for the 1991 blockbuster movie 'Ghost.' Both Alex North and Hy Zaret got to see their greatest work reintroduce to a brand new audience world wide. It has also given life to the late great Bobby Hatfield (1940-2003) of the 'Righteous Brothers' who's version was used in the 1991 movie. Today Bobby Hatfield's rendition of 'Unchained Melody' has been going viral on you tube with thousands of reaction videos from people all over the world. It is the most 'reacted' to video out there today... It has caused a sensation that is unheard of in modern times. Epic!
