The toddler in my garden

Just patch of sky
two apple trees
and carpet
of new grass
that's all I've got
to share

But that's what
I see
with my boring
adult eyes

In fact,
I've got much more
to give

White little pettles
fallen of the blossomed trees
I said they call them
snow of spring

Two little snails
too slow not to
attract attention

And when I see
reaction on his face
when little hands
touch almost everything
I feel that magic
hides in all
those daily things

Those yucky snails
my lawn mowing shoes
the rusty nail in wall
and little post nap face

What’s more in life
than joy
of living it all round
