The wave is gone down now
away from the tables, in search of a night
allowing a vietnamese girl her quiet vigilance
above her pho
the shirts of the men are wet

there are no intruders into the mysterious signs
of the rulers
the innocence of the street is always there
for them to take care of with their hands
