The Nightmare

As red sun submerges
Into the dusk forgotten
Pale bright moon emerges
Illuminates the earth so rotten

As I close my eyes
Shade past me flies
Creeping creatures of the night
Cast upon the world thick blight

Hours become incredibly long
And my hopes again seem forlong
To see the dawn at last
Bury the remembrances of past

Soon I'll be awaken
Everything mine will be taken
I'll roam within my nightmares
In daylight they still scare
