The novel ends on a note of exalted hope after the
writer’s presumable encounter with another woman, whose presence announces “THE
DAWN” of a new relationship and whom the first person writer-narrator-protagonist
celebrates in the highest degree:
„Nuo pat pirmos iki paskutinės dienos laikiau Nadžą laisva
dvasia, panašia į tas bekūnes dvasias, kurias akimirksniu galima prisijaukinti tam
tikromis magijos apeigomis, bet anaiptol negalima jų užvaldyti.“
